Six days, three bases and one long trek — a day-by-day Meghalaya route built around driving times rather than a wish list.

Day by day
The sequence below assumes arrival into Guwahati before midday.
- Day 1 — Guwahati to Shillong, evening at leisure
- Day 2 — Mawphlang sacred forest, then Sohra waterfalls and caves
- Day 3 — Nongriat root bridge trek
- Day 4 — Dawki and Shnongpdeng, riverside overnight
- Day 5 — Mawlynnong village and return to Shillong
- Day 6 — Drive back to Guwahati for departure
How to adapt it
With four days, drop Nongriat and keep Sohra plus Dawki. With eight, add a Nongriat overnight and a Jaintia hills day for caves and monoliths.
Frequently asked questions
