Itinerary
DAY 1: COCHIN ARRIVAL – MUNNAR
- Our representative will receive you upon arrival at Cochin (Airport/Railway Station).
- Board the transit vehicle and head towards Munnar (130 km | 4 hrs 30 min).
- En route, visit Cheeyapara and Vallara Waterfalls (Seasonal).
- If interested, visit a Tea Garden (subject to availability).
- Check-in at your hotel in Munnar for the night.
DAY 2: MUNNAR SIGHTSEEING
- Visit Mattupetty Dam, a key hydroelectric project, now home to various bird species.
- Proceed to Kundala Lake, famous for its scenic beauty and Asia's first Arch Dam.
- Stop at Eco Point, offering a picturesque view of the Nilgiri Hills.
- In the afternoon, visit Top Station or Eravikulam National Park (Rajmala), depending on your interest.
- Optionally visit Blossom Park and the Tea Museum if time allows.
- Overnight stay in Munnar.
DAY 3: MUNNAR – HOUSEBOAT
- After breakfast, depart for Alleppey/Kumarakom (180 km | 5 hrs).
- Check in to your houseboat by 12:30 PM.
- Enjoy a serene backwater cruise on the houseboat until 5:00 PM.
- Overnight stay on the houseboat.
DAY 4: COCHIN DEPARTURE
- After checking out from the houseboat, proceed for Cochin.
- If time permits, visit Marari Beach.
- Explore Fort Kochi, Mattanchery, and Jew Street as per your time availability.
- Drop-off at Cochin Airport/Railway Station for departure.

- The above-mentioned tour cost will be valid for twin sharing basis only.
- Child below 5 years is complimentary.
- Any change in the date of travel or the number of persons traveling may alter the tour cost.
- Similar category hotels will be arranged if rooms are unavailable in the listed hotels as per the required dates.
- Some hotels provide only mattresses instead of extra beds or cots.
- We suggest checking reviews and locations of hotels to ensure they meet your interests, as any change of hotel upon arrival will incur a retention fee.
- Any extra bed/breakfast for kids, not mentioned, has to be paid directly to the hotel by the guests as per hotel policy.
- In Munnar, Thekkady, Ooty, and Kodaikanal, rooms are usually non-A/C as these are cold regions unless specified otherwise.
- Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability, and hotels may charge extra for the same.
- In A/C Deluxe Category Houseboats, the A/C will be operational from 9:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. in the bedroom.
- Houseboat check-in starts from 12:30 PM, and cruising ends at 5 PM, as per government regulations.
- Deluxe is the base category for houseboats, while premium and luxury boats are available at an additional cost.
- Booking will be confirmed only after receiving advance payment, subject to hotel availability.
- For online credit card payment, a 2.5% bank charge applies to the transferred amount.
- Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is closed for 3 months a year during the Nilgiri Tahr breeding period.
- Periyar Wildlife boating tickets can be booked online at www.periyarfoundation.online.
- Some sightseeing spots might be closed on certain days, and we won’t offer compensation if this affects your itinerary.
- The company is not responsible for missed destinations due to political strikes or roadblocks.
- Travelonama Expeditions has no hidden charges except for lunch, dinner (all meals on the houseboat are included), and personal expenses. During the journey, if anyone requests extra money, inform us immediately as we are not responsible if you pay without consulting us.
- Any service issues during the tour should be reported to your Trip Advisor for immediate action.
CANCELLATION POLICY
- No refund shall be made with respect to the initial booking amount for any cancellations.
- Refunds for cancellations will be processed as per the following deduction guidelines:
- Up to 30Â days prior to the departure date: 0% deduction
- Between 30Â days to 15Â days prior to departure: 60% deduction
- Less than 15 days of departure: No refund
- Booking amount is non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Full payment of the trip cost must be made before the trip begins. Pending payments may lead to cancellation of the trip, and the booking amount will not be refundable.
- No refunds or discounts shall be made towards any inclusions not availed by the client. This includes voluntary or involuntary termination/departure from the tour, sickness, accidents, death of a family member, late arrival, or premature departure.
- Travelonama shall not be responsible for any delays or alterations in the program or indirectly incurred expenses due to natural hazards, accidents, machinery breakdowns, weather conditions, landslides, political closures, or untoward incidents.
- Cancellations will only be accepted via email. Phone calls or WhatsApp messages will not be considered. Additionally, the booking amount for all packages/trips is non-refundable.
- In cases of "force majeure" or situations beyond Travelonama's control after departure, refunds or compensation will not be provided.
- Participants dropping out during the trip will not receive any refund. They will also be responsible for additional expenses incurred for their retreat, based on actual costs.
- Participants can replace individuals in their bookings if the status is "Paid" and at least 12 days remain before the departure date. This does not apply to Volvo/Train/Flight transport bookings, which will be automatically canceled.
- Travelonama reserves the right to cancel any trip for any reason but will not cancel a tour before departure except for force majeure or unforeseen circumstances beyond its control.
